Naked Farmer Wins Best Healthy Restaurant in Tampa
Awards are special, but this one feels particularly meaningful.
Naked Farmer started right here in Tampa with a simple belief: we can build a better food system. One where people know more about where their food comes from, restaurants have closer relationships with the people growing it, and what’s on the menu reflects what’s actually growing around us.
In the beginning, that was an idea we believed in. Tampa is the community that believed in it with us.
You came through our doors. You tried vegetables you might not normally order. You learned the names of our farmers. You brought your friends and families. You ordered lunch for your offices, trusted us with your events, and continued showing up as we grew.
And because of that support, what started as a little restaurant in Tampa has grown into something we never could have built alone.
What “Healthy” Means to Us
Being recognized as Best Healthy Restaurant in Tampa means a lot because we’ve always believed that eating well starts long before a plate reaches the table.
It starts with the decisions we make about where our ingredients come from and the standards we hold ourselves to. It means sourcing as close to home as possible, building relationships with farmers and producers we trust, changing our menu with the seasons, and cooking from scratch with real ingredients.
We don’t do those things because they make for a good tagline. We do them because we believe they make better food—and because every sourcing decision is an opportunity to support the kind of food system we want to see more of.
There’s still a lot of work ahead of us. As Naked Farmer grows, one of the things I care about most is making sure we don’t lose sight of why we started. We want to bring more people closer to their food, create more opportunities for the farmers we work with, and prove that a better food system can grow without compromising what made it worth building in the first place.
Tampa Will Always Be Home
Today, Naked Farmer has grown beyond Tampa, but this city will always be home.
It’s where we learned, made mistakes, found our footing, met some of our earliest farm partners, and built a community around an idea that was much bigger than a restaurant.
So to everyone who voted for us, ordered a plate, told a friend about us, brought Naked Farmer into your office or home, or has simply followed along over the years: thank you.
And to our team—the people who prep, cook, serve, source, deliver, open restaurants, solve problems, and bring this mission to life every single day—this recognition belongs to you, too.
I’m incredibly grateful for how far we’ve come, but even more excited about where we’re going.
We started in Tampa. And we’re just getting started.
Thank you for growing with us.
